After 20 years supporting deals and relationships in the pharma sector, Andy Eibling decided to share his expertise more broadly. He founded Forty86 to enable small and mid-sized companies to leverage his knowledge and ensure their partnerships exceed their value expectations.
Andy had a broad based background in pharma, building upon his engineering training. He worked across manufacturing, HR, and finance before settling into a career in business development and alliance management.
He was a founding member of Eli Lilly & Company's pioneering Office of Alliance Management, which set the early bar for how to implement an alliance management competency. Lilly's group continues to set the pace even today.
After leaving Lilly, Andy joined Covance, a leading Contract Research Organization. There, he managed the groundbreaking partnership between Lilly and Covance, which covered over seven service areas and over $1.6 billion in revenue commitments. That partnership was one of the most complex and expansive partnerships ever established in the industry. At Covance, he established an alliance management organization and competency, aimed at differentiating the company and driving revenue through successful client relationship management.
More recently, Andy was a key member of the leadership team at Enable Injections, a startup company developing a proprietary subcutaneous delivery technology. At Enable, Andy was responsible for all commercial activities, including marketing, business development, and alliance management. Andy negotiated strategic transactions with several top 10 pharma companies as well as emerging biotechs.
Andy is one of a select few that has achieved CSAP (Certified Strategic Alliance Professional) certification by the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals.
Andy has spoken at multiple conferences over the past 20 years, and has published on the art and science of managing successful alliances. He is viewed as a leader in the alliance management space.
